You may know a good deal about Christ, by a kind of head knowledge. You may know who He was, and where He was born, and what He did. This is so well written and so true! I keep a running list of my favorite Bible verses and this is one of them:
9That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10
I just finished up my class Evangelism and Christian Life at Liberty University and learned a lot! It was an awesome class that taught us how to evangelize to people. Taught me how to use the 10 Commandments as a mirror to help people understand why they need a savior. I found it very interesting.

Great to hear this, Sara! I continue to realize how much I need a Savior, and just how great a Savior Jesus is! Hope you take more classes at LU (or check out some free courses online at iTunes — like RTS seminary… Of course, i can always recommend good books to read (alongside the Bible).

I subscribe to the J.C. Ryle quotes as well and I thoroughly resonated with this one. It really convicted me because I think I tend to lean towards the more logical, knowledge-y method of living life as opposed to KNOWING Christ.

I am a religion major at Liberty University, so I will be taking lots of classes! Currently taking Old Testament and thought, oh, boy, this is going to challenge me, the genealogy may be a bit dry- so far its absolutely so interesting! I could not have been more wrong! LOL The kids are also enjoying their Bible courses, so now we are thinking we should scrap going to Disney and start saving for a trip overseas. We are looking at taking a tour of Paul’s travels- it would be amazing!
