Days 6-7…

Saturday was another beautiful day here in Florida. We did some shopping and the kids enjoyed Papa’s pool (still cold by local standards). The leisurely mornings have allowed extra time for devotions (prayer and Bible reading), very much appreciated by me.

Sunday, after church, we all drove down to Ormond Beach, near Daytona, to see “GG” — Laurel’s grandmother, affectionately known by our kids as GG, for Great-Grandmother! See’s now 90 years old and still living on her own. In fact, she had us all out golfing with her. Okay, actually “9 holes” of putting at a little area in her development. All participated and had fun. Papa won with a below-par score; David was next at an even par 18, followed by Andrew. Later on, Matthew won a second competition between me, Drew and him. We’ll have to keep an eye on Matthew!

A fine seafood dinner was enjoyed at Carribean Jack’s on the waterfront, and then a scenic drive home, north long the famous A1A. What a gorgeous sunset and ocean view! Indeed, the heavens declare the glory of God. Amen.
