On July 10, 1509 (almost 500 years ago) a boy was born in France, that would change the world in many, many ways. When captured by the gospel of Jesus Christ, a young John Calvin pursued truth, becoming the famous pastor of Geneva (Switzerland), and the great theologian of the Protestant Reformation. His most famous work, THE INSTITUTES OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION, shaped theological thought and practice throughout the world, as well as many aspects of western culture.
A great website for (free) access to historic Christian literature is the CCEL — check it out.
